My name is Billy Reynolds and I’m a Recovery Support Specialist for Intervention Allies. I’ve been in the recovery field for over 15 years and I am also a Registered Recovery Worker with CAADAC. Part of my continued education and training involved completing an intensive five week course in Formal Interventions. Additionally, I do volunteer work at a licensed dual diagnosis treatment facility where I get a chance to teach clients in early recovery how to surf.
Like Carmine, I lost my brother to this troubling disease of addiction. Since his passing, I made a commitment to myself and the rest of my family that I would always do all I can to help others from having to experience the pain and suffering we have had to endure.
There is no better feeling in the world than when we get a family’s loved one safely into a treatment program. To see the afflicted person and family heal from the disease of alcoholism and/or drug addiction is priceless.
